Settings

Manage your account info, privacy controls, security, and report issues from within the Connect app.

Settings Sections

Tap the Settings gear icon in the side drawer or profile screen. The Settings page is split into the following sections:

Account Settings

Name, email, phone, email notifications, delete account

Privacy & Matchmakers

Control who can see your profile and which matchmakers can manage you

Security

Change your login password

Report a Problem

Report abuse, safety issues, or platform concerns

Privacy & Matchmakers

Tap Privacy & Matchmakers. This section controls what is visible to other seekers and which matchmakers can manage your profile:

Profile Photos

Choose who can see your photos: Everyone, Network only, or No one (hidden)

Phone Number

Control whether your phone number is visible in your profile

Email Address

Show or hide your email from other seekers

Profile Visibility

Pause or hide your profile completely from the browse/search results

Email Notifications

Notification preferences are managed inside Account Settings. There is an Email Notifications toggle that controls whether the app sends email alerts for activity. Push notification permissions are managed through your device's system settings (iOS Settings / Android Settings → Notifications → Connect App).

Security — Change Password

Tap Security to change your login password. Enter your current password and then enter a new one. The strength bar turns green when all requirements are met:

Min. 8 characters
One uppercase letter
One number
One special character

Report a Problem

Tap Report a Problem to open the report sheet. You can report abuse, safety issues, or platform concerns directly to the MatchDiary team.

Logout & Delete Account

  • Logout — available from the Home dashboard header (logout icon). Signs you out without deleting your data.
  • Delete Account — inside Account Settings. Schedules your account for permanent deletion. Contact your matchmaker before doing this.

Tips

  • Keep your phone number visible to at least your matchmaker — they need it to send you magic links
  • Enable all notifications initially — you can always turn off individual types later
  • Use a strong password — avoid using the same password as your email or other apps
