Albums

Create curated profile collections and share them with seekers via a link, QR code, or password-protected URL. Albums replace sending raw profile lists.

Albums List

Navigate to Albums from the left sidebar. The list shows all albums with their profile count, status badge (Active / Inactive), sharing mode, and expiry date.

Creating an Album — 4-Step Wizard

Click Create New Album (top-right of Albums page) to launch the 4-step wizard.

Basic Info — Title & Settings

Album Step 1: title, sharing mode, expiry, password

Album Title (required)

Public name shown to seekers viewing the album. E.g. "Premium Profiles – June 2025"

Description

Optional short description displayed below the album title

Sharing Mode (required)

Controls who can open the share link: Link Only, Pool members, etc.

Allow Downloads

Toggle to let viewers download PDF profiles (requires PDF feature to be enabled)

Expiry Date

Album auto-deactivates after this date — useful for time-limited events

Access Password

Visitors must enter this password before viewing the album

Set Filters — Who's Eligible

Album Step 2: filter form to narrow eligible profiles

Set criteria (gender, age, religion, location, etc.) to pre-select the pool of profiles you'll pick from in Step 3. Filters are not final — they just narrow the list. Click Clear All to reset. Click Next to proceed.

Album Step 3: pick profiles from the filtered pool
  • Click a profile card to toggle selection (checkmark appears)
  • Use the All / Selected tabs to switch between the full pool and your selection
  • Use Select All to pick everyone in the filtered pool at once
  • Toggle Grid / List view for easier browsing on desktop

Visibility & Save

Album Step 4: choose visibility / sharing mode and save

Confirm sharing settings and click Save Album. A success toast confirms the album is created and you're taken to the Albums list.

Smart Album Creation

Smart Create automatically generates an album by matching a seeker's partner preferences against all active profiles. Great when you have many profiles and want an instant curated list.

Smart Create — select a seeker, auto-generate compatible profiles

    Click "Smart Create" — Button is in the Albums header toolbar

    Choose a seeker — Select the seeker whose partner preferences should drive the matching

    Review the generated list — The system populates compatible profiles automatically — you can remove any you prefer not to include

    Set album title and save — The album is saved and ready to share

Sharing an Album

Open an album and go to the Settings tab. You have four ways to share:

Share Link

Opens the system share sheet with matchdiary.com/shared/TOKEN — paste into WhatsApp, email, etc.

Copy Link

Copies the share URL directly to clipboard without opening a share dialog

QR Code

Generates a scannable QR code for the album URL — great for events and printed materials

Direct Assignment

Assign the album to a specific seeker — they get a notification and see it in their Connect app

Assigning Albums to Seekers

Albums can be assigned to specific seekers so they receive a notification and see it inside their Connect app. Go to Albums → Assign Albums.

Assign albums to seekers — select album(s) and choose seekers

    Click Assign Albums in the Albums header toolbar.

    Select one or more albums to assign.

    Select the seeker(s) to receive the albums.
  4. 4
    Click Assign. Seekers receive a push notification and can view the album in their Connect app.

Pro Tips

  • Set an expiry date on event-based albums so stale links auto-deactivate
  • Use password protection for premium clients who need exclusive access
  • Run Smart Create after setting partner preferences for best auto-matching results
  • Check the Assignments tab to see which seekers have access to each album
